Preliminary Task

For my prelim. task, I must complete a school/ college magazine cover and contents page. The front cover must include a photo of a student in a medium close up shot and some appropriately laid out text and also a masthead. The title of my magazine will be called 'Stage 1' and I have created a flat plan for both of these pages in order to work from. I will be taking my own photographs to be placed on my front cover with the help of a student at NMBEC taking into consideration lighting, focus and originality. I will then chose  my best photo and edit it usuing the software: Photoshop. I will then be creating my basic backgroung and finishing touches using photoshop, feautures such as a masthead, appropriate text and exciting teasers.

My name's Chelsea and I am in year 7 at NMBEC. Its a very new experience for me, I've recently moved house so I know nobody at my new school! I've recently made some new friends and we share things in common so we have quite alot to talk about. I'm finding my school work quite hard and I sometimes find my homework building up on me throughout the week. I spend most of my time listening to music, reading magazines and talking to my friends online. I am looking for advice on how to keep on top of schoolwork ans well as homework, advice such as how to use my time efficiently.
